A Luxury Optometrist Office & Retail Boutique

Here’s a sneak peak into a recently completed project, Eyes on the Bloc, a luxury optometrist office and retail boutique at The BLOC in Downtown Los Angeles.


A clean, minimalist design was created, punctuated by artwork with optical references as a nod to the practice’s commitment of investing in the latest technology in optometry and the principal’s passion for art. The neutral color palette creates a welcoming shopping experience, while the placement of optical artwork adds just the right amount of drama and color. The striking eye mosaic panel curated by Ikonlogy Studios.


Every corner of the store was thoughtfully designed around the experience of the customer, including the bright, back wall, which was fitted with back-lit displays. This wall display transforms an often ordinary and common design piece seen in most optometrist offices into a striking focal piece for the space, highlighting the products, while giving customers the highest level of ease and efficiency while shopping.

The Fashionable Tastemaker: Virginia Williams

Accomplished actress Virginia Williams is currently starring opposite Sarah Shahi in the USA dramedy “Fairly Legal,” which is now airing its second season. Williams plays Lauren Reed, a tough as nails attorney, who is called to take over her husband’s firm when he passes, all the while dealing with her step-daughter (Shahi) of the same age.  This multilayered role allows her to explore a common relationship dynamic with an unconventional twist.

On the big screen, Williams recently wrapped production on the indie features THE CULLING and SLEEPING AROUND, and sang lead vocals for the upcoming CHOSING SIGNS.

Williams is also the new face of La Fresh, a natural skin care company that specializes in Eco-Beauty wipes. She will star in the 2012 commercial campaign.

For the past four seasons, Williams has had a recurring role on the CBS hit series “How I Met Your Mother.”  Her character Claudia is a friend of the gang’s and went to college with Ted, Marshall and Lily.

In 2006 Virginia landed the starring role in the Lifetime Original Series “Monarch Cove.”
She also played Shelley Long’s jilted-at-the-alter daughter in the film HONEYMOON WITH MOM, and recurred for two seasons on the cult-classic “Strangers with Candy.”

Williams has appeared in over 28 television series including “Better Off Ted,”  “Two and a Half Men,” “Veronica Mars,” and “Cold Case.”  In addition, she has had leading roles on multiple pilots for ABC, FOX, NBC, Lifetime, WB, and USA.

Williams began her career as a high school student, starring for two years on the soap operas One Life to Live (Lorna) and As the World Turns (Brandy). She earned a B.A. in Theatre Performance from Fordham University at Lincoln Center and studied Shakespeare at Oxford University, as well as with the British American Drama Academy in London. Raised in Memphis, TN, she is fiercely loyal to her Southern roots, where she first fell in love with the craft.

May Yeung

Jewelry designer May Yeung developed an interest and passion for jewelry when she was a young girl while observing her mother getting dressed for a dinner or dance party.  Whenever an opportunity arose, May would sneak into her parents’ bedroom and take a peek in the drawer that held her mother’s collection of fine and costume jewelry. It was then when May started coveting pearls and was later gifted her first strand of Majorica pearls from her parents when she was teenager.

As a designer, May is often asked where she receives her creative inspiration.  May is continually inspired by all the women in her life – her sister Kathy, girlfriends, mentors and colleagues. She is happiest when helping modern women feel beautiful, confident and “completing their timeless look”.
